We loved our experience. From the amazing dinner at the home stay, to the great guide we had (Mulia and Rich), everything was great. We were also incredibly lucky to see three orangutans in the wild, plus a lot of other wildlife and the very rare flower!

We had an amazing trek yesterday to see the largest flower, the Rafflesia. This flower blooms for only a few days a year. We were very well received by our guide. He could tell us a lot about the flower and other things from the jungle. We even saw a Gibbon. Furthermore, we were given delicious fresh fruit and offered food. My trip was truly amazing. The decision to see the flower was spontaneous, and while I was there I also saw a gibbon and many Amorphophallus trees. The tour guide was also very friendly and kind. He told me the story of why people call it “Orangutan” now instead of Mawas, as well as the stories behind the trees and the area itself. I enjoyed delicious fruit as a snack (during the hike) and fried rice after the hike. He was also very patient if I wanted to rest because the hiking trail was very steep; it took 1.5 hours from the parking lot to the flower site. This experience was truly amazing and incredible! Plus, he has 3 cute dogs that joined us during the hike! I’ll definitely do it again next time!

We were having the best 3 days ever. With the guide Papa Royal and his brother. They showed us all the good stuff. We saw so many rare animals. We had a lot of fun with them. Big recommendation!
